Following intensive investigations and close cooperation with international partners, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo filed an indictment on December 8, 2025, against three individuals in connection with the terrorist explosion at the Ibër-Lepenc canal, which occurred on November 29, 2024.
In a statement to the media, Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized that intelligence reports indicate the attack originated from Serbia.
“A few hours after the explosion, based on the information I received from security institutions, the attack came from Serbia, our northern neighbor, aggressive and hostile.”
Kurti noted that the investigation confirmed the presence of the three accused Serbs at the scene on the night of the attack, expressing gratitude to security institutions and the FBI for their professional cooperation:
“I can assure you that, based on intelligence information, the accused were part of illegal Serbian structures and were involved in carrying out the attack.”
He also referenced the accused’s links to Serbian state structures and the notorious Millan Radoiçiq, stating.
“The judicial process will demonstrate that the accused were part of illegal Serbian structures, closely connected with Vučić’s ally, the terrorist Millan Radoiçiq, and other Serbian state structures that planned and ordered the terrorist attack.”
Kurti condemned Belgrade’s attempts to misinform the public.
“Despite the fact that the Serbian authorities denied responsibility and engaged in hybrid actions to mislead public opinion, the indictment and the case’s outcome will, without a doubt, confirm the data and assessments of Kosovo’s institutions.”
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of Kosovo’s territorial integrity and the rule of law.
“Territorial integrity, the sovereignty of our state, and the rule of law for all citizens without distinction are vital values for which we work day and night and for which we will never stop. This recent case demonstrates that terrorism in Kosovo does not go unpunished, however insidious it may be, and cannot occur without detection and deconstruction of disinformation.”
Finally, Kurti expressed gratitude to institutions and international partners for their support.
“We thank the security institutions, international partners led by the United States, other institutions, actors, and citizens for their contribution to making Kosovo ever safer and more peaceful, and stronger economically, legally, integratively, and democratically.”/TheGeopost.
