The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin can spread the war elsewhere as he can not sit at the negotiating table because of the war in Ukraine.
According to Kurti, the Western Balkans are in danger, but he says the people stand together, and the alliances with the West, the US and NATO remain inseparable.
“During our war, Putin mentioned Kosovo only once a month. While now he mentions it almost every day drawing false parallels with Crimea. He who opposed NATO’s rescue intervention in 1999 wants to misuse Kosovo’s case to exercise his hegemony. We are worried, but not scared. The people are together and our alliance with the EU, the US and NATO is inseparable.
The Russian President wants to sit at the negotiating table, not with Zelensky, but with Biden. To this end, I am afraid he will intensify the war in Ukraine, but also spread it elsewhere because he can not sit at the table to negotiate with the war happening in Ukraine. The Western Balkans are in danger, while here already there is a hybrid war.
In Nis, the Russian Humanitarian Center is full of Russian agents. But we are worried, we are not afraid.” – Kurti said on Friday at the press conference with the Austrian Chancellor.
