Branislav Krstic disinformed that police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was “not killed” in the terrorist attack by the Milan Radoicic group wanted by Interpol in Banjska on September 24, 2023.

The Serbian journalist said in a Klan Kosova broadcast that Afrim Bunjaku “was not killed, but in a way he was collateral damage”.

His statements have provoked numerous reactions in Kosovo.

But what did Krstic say?

“Afrim Bunjaku was not killed, but in a way he was collateral damage.”

Analysis:

Kosovar police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed in the line of duty.

He was killed by a Serbian armed group in the village of Banjska, Zvečan, on September 24, 2023.

The Kosovar police and the Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s Office have classified the incident as a terrorist attack. While the state leadership described it as an act of aggression by Serbia.

The identity of the authors is known.

The armed group was led by Milan Radoicic, who is wanted internationally by Interpol and has taken responsibility for the attack in a public statement.

Afrim Bunjaku has been declared a hero and decorated with the Presidential Medal for Bravery, as a victim on duty while protecting the country’s order and sovereignty.

To summarize, the statement by Serbian journalist Branislav Krstic is untrue and contradicts the official facts.

This claim minimizes a serious terrorist attack and disinforms the public about a serious national security issue.” /The Geopost/
