The Kosovo government on Monday imposed additional sanctions on Russia due to its military aggression in Ukraine.
Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gërvalla stated at yesterday’s meeting that taking such decisions will contribute to the continuity of close cooperation with the United States of America and the European Union.
These sanctions include: restrictive export measures related to dual-use goods and technology, as well as goods and technology that can contribute to the technological improvement of Russia’s defense and security sector.
As well as restrictive measures that prohibit new investments in the Russian energy sector.
Also as a comprehensive export restriction on equipment, technology and services for Russia’s energy industry, with the exception of the nuclear industry and the downstream energy transport sector.
“Restrictive measures that prohibit all transactions with some state-owned companies, which are already subject to refinancing restrictions, and finally restrictive measures that prohibit the provision of credit assessment services”, Gërvalla stated.
Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in the early hours of February 24. Western countries have condemned Russia’s actions and imposed sanctions on Moscow.
