The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in The Hague released a special documentary on Tuesday to mark the 15th anniversary of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) opinion confirming that Kosovo’s declaration of independence was not a violation of international law.
In the video shared on Facebook, the Embassy emphasized the ongoing importance of this historic ruling, describing it as a moment of great legal, political and diplomatic significance.
“On this historic anniversary, we proudly present a documentary video reflecting on the International Court of Justice’s 2010 advisory opinion on Kosovo’s declaration of independence,” the announcement reads.
In this documentary, diplomats, international lawyers, and academics share their views on the impact this opinion has had on international law.
