NATO's Military Committee has paid an official visit to Kiev for the first time in eight years, with representatives from all 32 member countries of the alliance.
A high-level military delegation, led by the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, arrived in the Ukrainian capital on October 6, despite the threat of Russian attacks.
"After an eight-year hiatus, the NATO Military Committee is returning to Kiev for an official visit. Even though we have not been physically present here, Ukraine has always been in our thoughts, discussions and decisions," declared Cavo Dragone.
He stressed that the alliance remains united in the face of threats to its security and that Russia will not be able to undermine the unity of member countries through acts of sabotage, cyberattacks or airspace violations.
The Military Committee's visit to Kiev comes at a time when Ukraine continues its fight against Russian aggression, while NATO is strengthening military cooperation and support for Kiev.
Otherwise, many countries of the military alliance are helping Ukraine to expel the Russian invader.
