U.S. Ambassador to Pristina Jeffrey Hovenier expressed his country’s continued support for the Kosovo Security Force through military programs and development plans.
During a meeting with the head of the KSF, General Bashkim Jashari, he praised the fact that the KSF is multi-ethnic and represents the ethnic composition of the population of Kosovo.
In connection with the joint exercises, the US Ambassador said that the synchronization and support between the US and Kosovo will continue in the future.
Meanwhile, General Jashari informed Ambassador Hovenier about the long-term development plan of the KSF and the objective of participating in international peace exercises and missions in support of the US Army.
He stressed that the KSF is a multi-ethnic professional force, with the highest values and standards, under democratic civilian control, as well as in order to fulfill constitutional and legal obligations.
Regarding the partnership between the two countries and the State Partnership Program with the Iowa National Guard, General Jashari said that the United States as a strategic partner is vital and will work to further intensify this cooperation for the sake of peace, stability and regional security.
