U.S. Ambassador Jeff Hovenier said today that the people of Kosovo should not be alarmed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s remarks because, as he said in reference to NATO, the most successful military alliance in history exists in Kosovo.
Hovenier made these remarks after the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, adding that NATO is ready and prepared.
He emphasized that the U.S. was strongly committed to peace for the people of Kosovo.
“I can say that we are committed to the security of Kosovo. We don’t lose sleep at night worrying about this threat because we believe that NATO is ready and prepared. And I don’t think the people of Kosovo should lose sleep either.” Because the most successful military alliance in history has a strong presence and is ready to do what is necessary,” said Hovenier.
