Former Director of the Security-Information Agency (BIA) Aleksandar Vulin was in Moscow, where he met with the top of the security structures of the Russian Federation. Vulin was received by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, and the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin.
Naryshkin awarded Alexander Vulin the Cooperation Medal for his outstanding professional and personal contribution to the improvement of relations between Serbia and Russia.
It is symptomatic that the medal awarded to Vulin is called the “Cooperation Medal”, which clearly indicates for whom Vulin worked when he was at the head of the Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA).
The medal, as announced after the meeting, “is, in addition to recognition for exceptional professionalism, and a proof of respect for the SVR for the courage and determination of Aleksandar Vulin that despite personal sanctions he does not comply with western pressures to the detriment of Serbian interests,” Novosti reports.
During his visit to Moscow, Vulin also met with the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General Sergei Shoigu.
Shoigu pointed out that Aleksandar Vulin had once again put the interests of his country above his personal interests.
