Foreign Minister Donika Gervala criticised the participation of Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic at the conference on the prevention of sexual violence in wars, which is taking place in London today and tomorrow.
She described Dacic as one of the main “architects of genocide in the Western Baklan, especially in BiH and Kosovo”.
She asked the organisers what the point of Dačić speaking at such a conference was.
“From 1992 to 2000, he was Slobodan Milosevic’s right-hand man”, Gervala recalls.
Those present in the hall supported her with thunderous applause.
Recall that Dačić had said on a previous panel that “sexual violence in wars is a particularly painful and serious issue, because it is a violation of human rights”.
He mentioned three key words – prevention, punishment and education.
“We need the political will to tackle this crime in a systemic way”, Dačić pointed out, among other things.
Dačić was once spokesman for the Socialist Party of Serbia when the regime of its leader, Slobodan Milošević, committed horrific crimes during the wars in the former Yugoslavia.
