Germany has expelled 40 Russian diplomats for committing atrocities in Bucha, a city near Ukraine’s capital, Kiev.
Germany has warned that other measures are being prepared in coordination with the allies.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock added that Berlin would also increase support for Ukraine’s armed forces.
Dead bodies of Ukrainian civilians have been found in the streets of Bucha.
Also found in the basement of a house were five dead bodies of men with their hands tied behind their backs, who had been shot in the back of the head with a gun.
