A rocket attack killed several Ukrainian border guards

Several soldiers were killed in a rocket attack by Russian forces at the Ukrainian border crossing in the southeastern region of Zaporozhye, the border service said.

The attack took place early in the morning at 04.25 local time, reports Reuters. Along with the killed soldiers there are also some wounded.

Air danger reported in  Kiev and Lviv 

The administration of the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, has announced an air hazard this morning.

“Be careful, this is not an exercise. An air hazard has been declared! “When you hear the sirens, go immediately to the nearest shelter,” the city administration said in a statement broadcast by Interfax-Ukraine.

The sirens went off this morning in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv.

Ukrainian media: Russian tanks are heading to Kiev

Ukrainian media report on the Ukrainian army fighting with Russian forces, which, according to the UNIAN agency, arrived by tank in Ivankovka, halfway from the northern border with Belarus in Kiev.

According to those reports, the Ukrainian army blew up the bridge, UNIAN reports.

Reports also come from Luhansk. One person was killed in Starobiljska as a result of the rocket attack, while six were rescued, the State Emergency Situations Service announced.
