The Democratic Party (DS) of Serbia and the Socialist and Democrat (SD) parliamentary group in the European Parliament organized an exhibition entitled „Serbia’s Tutning Point – One Year After Novi Sad“ (Srbija na prelomnoj tački – Godinu dana od Novog Sada“), ahead of the European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg.
As announced by the DS tonight, the exhibition includes photographs by Gavrilo Andrić and documents the repression faced by rebellious citizens of Serbia, especially the student movement, and their forms of resistance, solidarity, and community over the past eleven months.
“In this way, MEPs gain direct insight into the reality in which students and citizens of Serbia suffer daily political pressure, violence, and media control, which manifests itself in a kind of torture, as well as into their persistence in changing this cruel reality,” according to a statement reported by Beta.
The Democratic Party added that it would continue to use all available resources—political and international—as a means of support in the fight for freedom.

The Democratic Party added that it will continue to use all available resources—political and international—as a means of support in the fight for freedom.
“We emphasize that Serbia is at a turning point between good and evil, and that the European institutions’ understanding of the unsustainable situation in the country and the need for free and fast elections is crucial for the restoration of democratization,” the statement reads.
