On the day when the 24th anniversary of the Recak massacre is commemorated, the Serbian media Kosovo-Online denied this event in an article.
In the article “Recak and other examples of the ‘new normality’ in Kosovo” written by the editor-in-chief of this media, Milos Garic, this massacre continues to be denied.
“There is no doubt that the ‘Racaku massacre’ is a clever and insidious staging”, it is said, among other things, in the article of this media, which works against the interests of Kosovo, reports The Geopost.
Regarding this, the security expert Agim Musliu reacted, saying that the denial of this massacre was initiated by the Serbian Intelligence Services, and continues by this media.
“The denial of the Recak Massacre was initiated by the Serbian intelligence services, and continues to be trumpeted as such. Even this Serb, the editor-in-chief of this Serbian media, whose name is ‘Kosovo-Online’, but who is completely against Kosovo, today denied this massacre”, writes Musliu on his Facebook profile.
According to him, Garic is a collaborator of the Serbian BIA and that the Kosovo Prosecutor’s Office should be activated for these claims of Kosovo-Online.
“Millos Garic is an associate of BIA. OK, because he lives in Belgrade and lights a fuse in Kosovo. But I cannot understand how such a media is allowed by the prosecution of Kosovo, by the judiciary of Kosovo to create such lies that have national and international influence”, he concludes.

Likewise, university professor Arben Fetoshi, through a reaction on Facebook, says that the editor-in-chief of Kosovo-Online is a “loudspeaker” of Serbia’s genocidal policy.
“By justifying the crime as a ‘normal reaction of the state against terrorists’, this media and this certain editor, ‘loud speaker’ of Serbia’s genocidal policy, proves the further criminal logic against Albanians and the misuse of the media for dark political purposes”, writes Fetoshi .
Fetoshi adds that the denial of Recak’s truth shows the brutal truth of Serbia as a small Russia in the Balkans.
“Kosovo-Online knows the monstrous scale of the Serbian crimes in Krusha, Celina, Fortesa, Meja, and hundreds of other massacres, but their ‘battle’ is ‘ordered’ against the USA and the free world. Therefore, the denial of Recak’s truth shows the brutal truth of Serbia as a small Russia in the Balkans. A media that does not deserve to be called such and an “editor” that serves the darkness, today did the “double murder” of the victims of Recak”, he emphasizes.

The Basic Court in Pristina has found Ivan Todosijevic, the former minister from the ranks of the Serbian List, guilty by sentencing him to 1 year in prison for denying this massacre.
Todosijevic, in the period of time until he was in the position of the Minister of Administration and Local Government in the Government of Kosovo, had deliberately incited and publicly spread hatred, division and impatience between the national, racial and ethnic groups living in our country.
The denial of this massacre occurred by high officials of the Government of Serbia and the Kremlin.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has emphasized several times that the massacre of civilians in Recak is a fiction, and he has even gone so far as to say that the Serbs are not behind this act.
Even the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, had denied this massacre, calling it a staged act.
The Recak massacre, which took place on January 15, 1999, was the massacre of 45 Albanians by Serbian police, military and paramilitary forces.
A day after the event, the OSCE ambassador in Kosovo, William Walker, after visiting the place of the event, was horrified by the slaughtered corpses.
“From what I saw, I do not hesitate to describe the incident as a massacre and a crime against humanity. This is the saddest event in my life,” Walker said.
The news of the massacre sensitized the international opinion about the Serbian crimes in Kosovo and paved the way for the NATO bombings against the military machinery of the former Yugoslavia. /The Geopost/
