The Serb from Verboci in the municipality of Vitia, Biljana Marinkovic, has started a hunger strike in the reopened facility of the illegal municipality of Serbia in Kosovo.
She has posted several photos and videos on her Facebook profile, where she notices a tension between her and the illegal municipality employees there.
“Dear friends, this is what the ‘Provisional Authority of Kosovo’ looks like in Vitia, after 3 months of inaction, the municipality is covered in spider webs and bird droppings. The council of this municipality continues to stay at home to rest and receive a regular monthly income”, it is said, among other things, in one of her posts.
The Serbs who live in the Serb-majority municipalities in the Gjilan region have been facing mutual accusations for some time, which often result in physical conflicts.
In most cases, as reported by the Kosovar media, these attacks by the authorities in Belgrade and the Serbian media are presented as ethnically motivated attacks.
Recently, such a case happened in Ropotova, near Gjilan, where the rear windshield of the vehicle of Davor Petkovic, former vice-mayor of the municipality of Ranillug, now mayor of the village of Ropotova, was broken on June 29, by the Serbian residents. However, the so-called “Office for Kosovo” of the Government of Serbia described this incident as an inter-ethnic attack. /Geopost.
