An event in support of the Russian occupation of Ukraine was held on March 13 in Belgrade, Serbia.
This protest was organized by the right wing group “People’s Patrol”.
According to the Balkan Service of Radio Free Europe in albanian language, several cars, bearing the symbol ‘Z’ and with Russian and Serbian flags, protested by passing near the “Sava” center in Belgrade.
The ‘Z’ symbol was seen on Russian tanks during the fighting in Ukraine. This symbol is also being used by people who are supporting the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.
Protesters, along with their cars, paraded through several streets of the capital, and chanted “Serbs and Russians are brothers forever.”
Also on March 4, a protest was held in Belgrade in support of Russia, where thousands of people appeared in front of the Russian Embassy and in front of the diplomatic mission of Belarus.
Russia launched an unprovoked attack on Ukraine on February 24. Western countries, but also the Western Balkans region, have imposed sanctions on Moscow for its aggression against Russia. Serbia has refused to join EU and US sanctions./REL
