Following statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the partial mobilization of reservists in Ukraine, leaders from around the world and in particular from Western countries have reacted.
Among the latest is British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, who said that despite Russian threats and propaganda, there is no hiding the fact that Ukraine is winning, the Telegrafi reports.
The Russian actions are clear evidence that Putin’s plan in Ukraine has failed, and that more and more are returning territories that were once under Kremlin control, Wallace said.
“No amount of propaganda can hide fact that Ukraine is winning. Putin and his Defence Minister have sent tens of thousands of unprepared soldiers to their death. No amount of threats and propaganda can hide the fact that Ukraine is winning the war, the international community are united like never before,” Wallace added.
With partial mobilization, Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu have announced that it is implied that 300 thousand reservists will be invited to fight in Ukraine./Telegrafi
