The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, have held their first bilateral meeting.
After the talks in the White House, the two world leaders indicated that they talked about the most important policy issues, including Kosovo and the Western Balkans, reports Klan Kosova.
“We reaffirmed our commitment to complete the work on the integration of the Western Balkans into the institutions of the European Union and to finally realize Europe as a whole, free and at peace,” Biden told during a joint conference.
The same topics were discussed at the joint meeting between the US and the European Union in Washington within the Energy Committee.
“We send a strong message through our common commitment to strengthening energy security in Europe and to our neighbors. “I am talking here about Ukraine, especially the Western Balkans,” said EU High Representative for Security and Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell.
The European delegation was hosted by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
