Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric has asked Moscow to "no longer deal with Kosovo in the United Nations (UN) Security Council," according to information made public by the leader of the Serbian "Dveri" party, Ivan Kostic.
He said that this data comes from official diplomatic sources in Belgrade.
This request by Belgrade shows that, at least on a diplomatic level, Serbia is refraining from contesting Kosovo's sovereignty, indirectly recognizing the reality of an internationally recognized state.
The Serbian Foreign Ministry has not yet made any official comment on this information, but it is estimated that this move means that Belgrade no longer wants to instigate discussions on Kosovo's status at the UN.
According to experts, this step can be interpreted as a practical acceptance that Kosovo functions as an independent and internationally recognized state.

"Serbia's stance towards Moscow and the UN may be part of a broader diplomatic strategy, which aims to maintain stable relations with international powers, while avoiding direct tensions over the Kosovo issue."
Belgrade's latest request can also be seen as a signal to the international community, indicating the willingness of Serbian authorities to manage the open issues on Kosovo's status in a more calm and pragmatic manner.
This development comes at a time when the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, mediated by the European Union, has known tense periods, but also efforts for gradual progress.
Diplomatic experts suggest that such changes in Serbia's diplomatic stance could affect regional dynamics and contribute to a more stable environment for cooperation between the two countries.
