The military parade in Belgrade was not just a ceremonial spectacle, but an open anti-Albanian march and a threat to the region, according to Enkel Rexhepi, chairman of the Albanian National Council (KKSH) in the Preševo Valley.
More than 10,000 participants presented around 2,500 weapons and military equipment, over 600 vehicles, 70 aircraft, and 20 watercraft at this parade on Saturday.
According to Rexhepi, this was all a demonstration of an army that Albanians know well: an army of violence, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing.
“This is a provocation for the region, but also for our people. It is a serious insult to national dignity. Against this backdrop, the participation of the Albanian mufti is a shameful and unacceptable act. He does not represent our community, but has become a tool of Serbian propaganda, part of the hybrid war that aims to break our morale by recruiting individuals against the interests of the nation. As in the case of Minister Demo Berisha,” Rexhepi writes on Facebook.
According to him, this is a flagrant violation of Albanian honor and dignity and cannot be accepted, relativized, or covered up with excuses.
This is the first military parade in Belgrade since 2014, when Russian President Vladimir Putin was a special guest in Serbia.
