On the day of the referendum on constitutional changes in Serbia, Serbian List together with the pro-Russian portal Kosovo-Online propagated as if there was interethnic incidents in Kosovo.
Contrary to this claim, the Kosovo Police reported that there was an attack on Runike of Skenderaj that has happened as a result of cutting down the forest on a private property.
“At noon on January 16, 2022, at the Police Station in Skenderaj, a case with elements of the criminal offense ‘Assault’ was reported and initiated. From the initial investigation and the statement of the victim m / k / M. K., it becomes known that until the victim was in the village of Runike in Skenderaj, had met with the suspect whom he had known before, where during the communication it came to an escalation talk between them as the victim suspected that the suspect had harmed his privately owned forest “, it is said in the announcement of the Kosovo Police.
It is also stated that the prosecutor of the case and the suspect was released in due process.
“Intensive investigative actions have been taken regarding the case, the suspect m / k / B.S. has been identified and arrested, and a case witness was interviewed.
For all actions taken, the prosecutor of the case was contacted by whom it has been suggested that the case be initiated and investigated for the criminal offense of ‘Assault’.
After the interview, the suspect was released by order of the prosecutor with regular procedures “, the announcement continues.
However, the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia had come up with the statement that, “Milan Kovacevic from Skenderaj was attacked because he has a Serbian name, surname and hat ”.
Serbian List also reacted by saying that, “this attack is a consequence of Prishtina’s direct anti-Serbian policy ”.
The same reactions were published by the Serbian media with a pro-Russian background KosovoOnline.
According to this portal, “the attack of the young man in Skenderaj is an action against Serbs that serves as a fuel for Albanian extremists ”.
For the case alleged by Serbian List and published by Kosovo-Online, Police of Kosovo says the news is untrue.
“Kosovo Police in order to properly inform the public about some articles published today (17.01.2022) on several different portals, which refer to the statements of the Serbian List that the person M.K. was attacked in the Runik village of Skenderaj and according to them this attack is anti-Serb, reacts to these untrue writings “, explains the police.
So far, such strategies have been used by Serbia, with its tools like Serbian List and Kosovo-Online, in order for these cases to be falsely presented before the international community and separately at Security Council sessions UN, as cases of ethnic attacks on Serbs.
Otherwise, in Serbia there is a referendum on constitutional changes in the field of justice.
The Assembly of Kosovo had adopted a resolution expressing opposition that the referendum of the state of Serbia be held in our country. / The Geopost /
