The guests of the programme on the Prave Vesti YouTube channel were Serbian volunteers, members of the Serbian military police, presented under the call names “Sava” and “Dunav”. Their faces are masked to protect their identities because, as the programme explained, Serbian law does not allow them to fight on foreign battlefields.
The presenter first asks them about the meeting in Serbia, which, he says, is ambiguous. The information that the Serbs decided to sign up in order to “protect our common Christian values” is true, the presenter concludes, and asks the Serbian volunteers how they are reacting in Serbia to the fact that “the boys” have gone to the front.
A fighter Viking from the Sudoplatov battalion, which also includes Serbian volunteers, is a translator on the show. Viking is the founder, he says, of the international movement of the Russian-Slavic association “Preporod”. (Revival)
The boys, Dunav and Sava, have combat experience, Viking points out, having served in the Serbian military police and have experience in handling weapons. “Especially because the Serbian army uses Kalashnikovs and similar types of weapons.”
Dunav boasts that he learned less during his military police service than in the week he spent in the Sudoplat Battalion. The Serbian volunteers in the video say that the conditions are excellent, the training is good and it is ten times better than agreed.
Dunav has a family, Sava does not.
“Excellent, Dunav has an excellent opportunity to find” a good woman in the territory of Zaporizhzhya or Kherson region or in Donbas. Because as the presenter points out, there the guys get married, the children live next to the unit and are the same heroes.
Dunav would like to acquire Russian citizenship.
“After all, he sees the future of Kosovo’s liberation only from Russia”, says Viking, adding that Serbs understand this, including their country’s independence from NATO, from Western influences from which it can only be freed thanks to Russia. And Kosovo will be liberated thanks to Russia. They understand that, given the results of the battle now being fought in Ukraine, this is a war for Kosovo.”
The Viking fighter says that his movement has existed for more than 10 years and has representatives in all Slavic countries.
“You may know that there are many rallies, including the one in Belgrade, which are organised in support of our, and therefore our participation. We all have the same goal, that the Slavs unite around Russia and that Russia as the mother unites all Slavic nations”. His movement, he said, has representatives in Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
“Serbs are our biggest brothers, culture and history. We even share the same flag.”
Asked how many volunteers there are from the countries where „Preporod“ is represented, he says they have 15 people from Serbia who want to come, 5-6 from Macedonia and 10 from Poland.
Presenter person asks them why they have come and how their relatives have reacted?
“We came here to help our brothers because we see the injustice that happened to us in the 1990s, but our family reacts normally, they support us,” says Dunav.
“This is a call from the heart,” replies Sava, and his family, he says, observes all this normally.
The host asks what would be the response of volunteers, given that there is no penalty imposed by law in Serbia?
Sava is confident that more people would come. Dunav agreed, noting that this is also a question of the heart.
By military specialty, they are marksmen who will be doing normal combat duties.
“The guys in our battalion are trained, combat coordinated, physically prepared and learn how to fire different types of weapons, including heavy weapons. Each fighter learns how to use the equipment properly and will be part of the Sudoplatov battalion.”/Danas/
