Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Prosecutor’s Office has filed a case against Milorad Dodik, President of the Republika Srpska, for denial of genocide, Radio Free Europe (RSE) has confirmed.
According to the law, once a case is filed, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office will conduct an investigation, after which the acting prosecutor will decide whether to file an indictment, RSE reported.
A BiH court then confirms or rejects the indictment.
“Genocide did not happen there. We all know that here in Republika Srpska,” Milorad Dodik told a news conference in Banja Luka on February 21.
Dodik spoke about Srebrenica after the High Representative adopted on 21 February a law amending the law on the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Centre, which allows for the possibility to redirect surplus donated funds for funerals and memorials of victims to other needs for the operation of the Centre./AntenaM/
