The leader of the Alliance for Albanians (ASH), Ziadin Sela, has accused the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, of being “Russia’s main financier” since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is supplied with fuel by the Russian company “Lukoil”.
Sela’s reaction, which leads the Albanian opposition in RNM, comes after indirect accusations made by Osmani against the opposition during his participation in a televised debate in Skopje.
“There are several days that DUI officials slander against the Albanian opposition, while today Bujar Osmani reached the peak by accusing the citizens of supporting Russia. “He said that the purchase of fuel by Russian companies is a direct aid to Russia,” Sela wrote on his Facebook profile.
With these words, according to Sela, “Osman made the Freudian mistake and admitted with his own mouth that he is the main financier of Russia”. “From the official data from the service for publishing expenses, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs results that it buys fuel from the Russian company licensed in our country. Some of the supplies were even made during the last days of February. In addition to Osman’s ministry, the same company also supplied most of the Government and state institutions “, writes Sela, distributing the link that leads to this data.
The deputy chairman of the BESA Movement, Arianit Hoxha, another Albanian opposition party in northern Macedonia, also reacted to Osmani. The ministry headed by Bujar Osmani has a contract for fuel supply with the Russian company “Luk Oil”, so I ask him what he says that the purchase of fuel by a Russian company helps Russia’s war against Ukraine, which consequently, from the contract he has signed, does the Ministry of Foreign Affairs help Russia” !?, Hoxha reacted.
A few days ago, Osmani stated that the purchase of oil from Russia is financing of the Russian army.
“Do we finance consciously or unconsciously when we buy gasoline in Luk Oil? I think the Russian Federation is mainly funded through energy sources. “The dominant income of the Russian Federation is from gas, oil, energy resources and of course their purchase finances the Russian army, there is no dilemma there”, said Osmani.
Osmani’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded briefly in writing that the “contracts with Lukoil” date back before he came to head the ministry.
Otherwise, Lukoil is the largest Russian company in the country. With close to 50 gas stations throughout the territory of Northern Macedonia, this company is the second in the fuel trade market in the country.
