
After the blockade by Western countries due to the aggression developing in Ukraine, Russia is trying to develop political and economic relations with African countries. It has organized an economic summit with dozens of African countries.
The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has traveled to Russia where he will hold a private meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The two are expected to participate in talks on a wide range of issues affecting both countries, including trade, investment, security and cooperation on humanitarian efforts.
The meeting will focus on ways to explore possible cooperation, exchange ideas and seek opportunities for joint growth and development.
After the end of the summit and the meeting with Putin, the President of Uganda will start another diplomatic mission and will travel to the capital of Serbia.
After the messages he will receive from Putin, a meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is expected.
He will also open a center in Belgrade to promote Uganda’s tourism, trade and investment potential.
Uganda has a long and rich history of cordial relations with both Russia and Serbia.
