The leader of the URA Party, Dritan Abazovic, announced the absolute victory in the elections in Ulcinj of the coalition “For a New Beginning”, which consists of the URA, the Social Democrats of Montenegro, the Social Democratic Party, the Albanian Alternative and the Democratic Party.
“Ulcinj has a new mayor and his name is Omer Bajraktari. “As we announced, our list is stronger as the second place”, said Abazovic.
He said that the citizens of Ulcinj did not have a dilemma this time.
“This is a new beginning for the city, a path to reconciliation and progress,” Abazovic said.
In Ulcinj, five voter lists participated and 20,392 citizens voted in 38 polling stations.
According to preliminary results, the Albanian Coalition List won six seats, or 17.14 per cent, the Democratic Montenegro two seats (7.22 per cent) and the Alliance for a New Start, made up of the URA, the Social Democrats of Montenegro, the Social Democratic Party , Albanian Alternative and the Democratic Party, 14 seats (42.61 percent). The force won five seats (14.28 percent), and the DPS-led list six seats (18.74 percent).
