American analyst Ivana Stradner has warned about the involvement of Serbian and Russian services in the electoral process in Serbia, saying that attempts have already been observed to damage the student list and manipulate public opinion, Gazeta Express reports.

Stradner, who says she is closely following political developments in Serbia, has stated that Serbian intelligence is "fully involved" in the process.

According to her, fake accounts on social networks are being used to attack the student list, while fake lists for collecting signatures, with similar names, are being used to create confusion among citizens.

She has also accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić of reinstating what she calls the usual media propaganda, citing salary increases and promises of a higher standard of living.

However, Stradner estimates that students are reacting strongly to these efforts and that support for them from Serbian citizens is growing.

At the same time, the American analyst has raised concerns about Russia's role in the upcoming elections in Serbia.

She said that Russian media have already predicted that the next president of Serbia will be Ana Brnabić, claiming that there is a belief in Moscow that the Vučić regime will continue close cooperation with the Kremlin and that relations between Belgrade and Moscow are not in danger.

"Make no mistake: the FSB will do everything possible to interfere in Serbia's elections and stop the students from winning," Stradner wrote.

According to her, Russia has offered Vucic a kind of "regime preservation package," while Serbian and Russian intelligence services cooperate closely.

"I see Russian tactics unfolding in Serbia. The game is clear," she declared.

Stradner's statements come at a time when the student movement in Serbia is trying to transform its public support into a political alternative, while Vučić's government is facing continued political pressure and protests.
