Amid rising tensions between the two countries, Russia has expelled the US deputy ambassador to Moscow, according to the BBC.
It is still not clear why Moscow expelled American diplomat Bart Gorman, while the US reaction to Moscow's action is awaited.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also claims that Russia has deployed additional troops near the Ukrainian border and sent blood supplies.
"I was a soldier myself not long ago. I know that these kinds of actions are not done without any reason," Austin concluded./abcnews.al
