The path of illegal migration is always difficult, with great risks and often fatal outcomes. However, in recent weeks this scenario has changed for Asians interested in migrating to the European Union countries, as a result of the creation of a new migration channel, behind which state authorities of Belarus appear to be standing.
As part of the coordinated pressure on the European Union by this authoritarian state, and in coordination with Russia, Minsk has opened a route for migrants from various Asian countries to Belarus. The migrants are then instructed to continue towards the European Union, namely towards the Union's easternmost border, Poland.
This new route, which has been opened with a specific purpose for migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and other surrounding countries to exert political pressure on the European Union, specifically in the Polish state, where it is known that this state was the biggest opponent of accepting refugees. For this purpose, direct flight routes have been established from the airports of Damascus, Istanbul, Baghdad and Dubai to Minsk.

More than 100 such flights full of migrants have taken place in recent days.
To prevent this orchestrated wave of refugees, Poland has also deployed the army to its eastern border with Belarus. Similarly, Latvia and Lithuania are concerned about the situation and have declared a state of readiness for more controls.
added around the border.

A possible escalation of the situation is excluded.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of, as he said, orchestrating an unprecedented wave of migrants trying to illegally enter Poland from Belarus.
In recent years, the Western Balkans have been widely used as a route for migrants to the EU, but after increased measures on the Croatian and Hungarian borders, they are finding other ways to reach Europe. In contrast to past experiences, the new episode through Belarus seems to be an easier option for migrants, as they are assisted by the authorities there, who exploit the migrants' plight to achieve political goals in the geostrategic plan in relation to the European Union.
