The Politika portal continues to spread disinformation against the authorities in Kosovo, the latest example of which is the article titled “The Controlled War Against Serbia in Northern Kosovo.” The text, signed by Dejan Spalović, contains false claims to present the Kosovo Prime Minister as a threat to stability in the region, while ignoring the real security threats coming from Serbia.
What the Policy says:
"The European Union's financial taps for Kosovo are increasingly uncertain, America is turning its back on Albin Kurti and it is often rumored that this most powerful NATO state is considering withdrawing from the region. With very weak economic indicators and the fact that Vetëvendosje did not win enough votes in the February elections to be able to independently manage Kosovo's institutions, they are still acting as artificial reasons. provoking armed incidents in the north of the province, which could escalate into a war in northern Kosovo, for which they will blame Serbia," Spalović said in an article published by Politika.

Analyze:
One of the main pieces of disinformation in this article is the claim that Albin Kurti “artificially provokes armed incidents in northern Kosovo” to blame Serbia. This type of disinformation is constantly circulating in Serbian media, without any evidence, overlooking the fact that it is Serbia’s illegal security structures and paramilitary formations that are responsible for the destabilization of the region.

The author of the text also misinforms about the withdrawal of KFOR from Kosovo. However, in early March, the US Department of Defense announced that there had been no change in the position of US forces in Kosovo.
The article also misinforms that Western intelligence services are behind the alleged planning of a conflict in northern Kosovo, although official statements from Washington and Brussels reject any suggestion of inciting the conflict. /G.Venhari/
