The Serbian List and its official Igor Simić have continued their campaign of disinformation of public opinion, claiming that the implementation of the Law on Foreigners in Kosovo is allegedly a "plan for the ethnic cleansing of Serbs", even though the same law also exists in Serbia.
What did Igor Simić declare?
Being invited to TV Pink, Igor Simić stated that Kosovo's laws are:
"designed for the purpose of ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Kosovo",
that "around 10.000 Serbs" will be left without the right to reside,
that "7.000 people will remain at the border points",
and that the law will lead to the "separation of families" and the collapse of the education and health systems.
Analysis:
The Law on Foreigners begins to be implemented on March 15, but it does not provide for automatic entry ban, mass returns from border points, nor collective measures.
Simić's claim that "7.000 people will remain at border points on March 15" does not exist in any official document.
The Law on Foreigners enters into force on March 15, but without collective measuresThis is an administrative regulation of residence, which also exists in other countries.
Simiqi also ignores the fact that the same principle of the Law on Foreigners also applies in Serbia.
What is considered an administrative obligation in Serbia, the Serbian List in Kosovo declares "ethnic cleansing".
