Minister Aleksandar Vulin disinforms that the European Union supports the creation of a “Greater Albania”, and that the joint Assembly of Kosovo and Albania was not just a gathering of Albanians, but “a gathering against Serbia and Serbs”.
Vulin said:
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama called on Pristina to end the dialogue with Belgrade and offered Kosovo entry into the European Union through Albania and in union with it.
“Greater Albania” is a project of the West to divide the Serbs, whom it does not see as partners and part of Europe, but as enemies, Russian allies and stubborn.
Analysis:
The European Union and the West have never supported the concept of a “Greater Albania”, but advocate for preserving the territorial integrity of all Western Balkan countries, including Albania and Kosovo.
Vulin has disinformed when he says that Edi Rama has requested that Kosovo enter the European Union by joining Albania. In his statements in the Kosovo Assembly, Rama has spoken about Kosovo’s European path as an independent and sovereign state. Meanwhile, Rama has requested a freeze on the dialogue with Serbia due to the lack of progress due to Serbia’s non-implementation of agreements and in the context of Kosovo starting a kind of agreement with the EU to start implementing its part without depending on Serbia’s actions.
“At this crucial stage for its path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Kosovo must freeze, cool down as you say, without delay, the bilateral dialogue with Serbia and aim for the normalization of relations with its northern neighbor through bilateral dialogue with the European Union, by severing the umbilical cord of nationalist reciprocity with Serbia and by connecting the umbilical cord of Europeanist reciprocity with the European Union”, Rama said.
So Vulin has completely changed Rama’s statement.
Also, in the joint session held between the Kosovo and Albanian Parliaments in Pristina, there was talk of cooperation between the two countries, mainly economic and foreign policy, and there were no statements against Serbian citizens.
Vulin disinforms to present Serbia as a victim of an “international project aimed at weakening the Serbian people”.
As for the disinformation that the West wants to “suppress Serbs as allies of Russia”, it is an example of pro-Russian propaganda used to arouse distrust in the West within Serbia.
On the other hand, Western countries support European integration and Serbia, but condition progress on reforms and dialogue with Kosovo.
