Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has disinformed that Kosovo rejects the dialog in Brussels and that his goal is the expulsion of Serbs from Kosovo.
What did Vucic say?
Prishtina does not want dialog and conversation. The first goal is the expulsion of the Serbs and the annihilation of the Serbian people in Kosovo. We never had a real dialog and a real conversation. They used tricks to blame Belgrade in every way for everything bad that happened on the ground. Certainly an ideology that has its own goals, the first of which is the expulsion of the Serbs and the annihilation of the Serbian people in Kosovo. If you have nothing to offer, no other goals, then of course you will do it. They don’t want any dialog or talks, they say, “We are a sovereign state and we have nothing to talk about.”
Analysis:
Vucic has misinformed that Kosovo does not want a dialog in Brussels, although the Kosovo government has repeatedly demanded that the basic agreement be signed by both sides and implemented in its entirety, while Serbia and the Serbian president have refused to sign it. Serbia has sent a letter to the member states of the European Union withdrawing from this agreement reached in Brussels. The last time Vucic referred to it was Petar Petkovic, who rejected an agenda item proposed by the European Union for talks with the Kosovar side led by Besnik Bislimi.
Vucic also continues to misinform that Serbs are being expelled from Kosovo and that Kosovo’s institutions are aiming at ethnic cleansing. Kosovo has tried to integrate Serbs, but they are often manipulated by official Belgrade and the groups it uses to intimidate and blackmail citizens. On Vučić’s orders, the Serbs left Kosovo’s institutions. Kosovo police frequently report cases of burning of cars and property of Serbs in the north who do not follow the instructions of the Belgrade Serbian List.
