Prime Minister of Serbia Miloš Vučević presented more disinformation about Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the situation in the north. He disinforms that Kurti is using the incidents in the north to put pressure on the international community for the entry of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into the north of Kosovo.
What did Vucevic say?
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, said that he is afraid that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, will use last night’s events in Kosovo for further pressure and attacks on the Serbian community, with the aim of KSF entering the north of Kosovo.
“The biggest pressure of Kurti is to allow the so-called Kosovo security forces to enter the north of Kosovo, where they are not allowed to enter.” And Kurti is using what happened last night to put pressure on the international community for KFOR to give in and for Kosovo security forces to enter the north of Kosovo.
Analysis:
Serbs in Kosovo are not threatened by Kosovo institutions, but by political manipulation from Belgrade. Vučević’s claims are part of Belgrade’s broader strategy, which portrays Serbs as victims, while using the north of Kosovo for destabilization and criminal activities.
Prime Minister of Kosovo Aljbin Kurti said at the conference held yesterday regarding the latest attack by Serbia that Kosovo respects the agreement and that without the consent of KFOR, the KSF will not be deployed to the north.
Belgrade continuously finances and supports criminal structures that sabotage the integration of northern Kosovo into the Kosovo legal system. Those groups, including those responsible for the violence, act with the tacit support of the Serbian authorities, while Vucevic is trying to shift the responsibility to Pristina.
