NATO and the Western media have been the target of Serbian and Russian disinformation over the past week.
It was publicist Igor Ivanovic who made a series of controversial claims about NATO and its role in global relations. In an interview with Sputnik Serbia, Ivanovic claimed that NATO was the main cause of the current global destabilization and accused the alliance of allegedly planning to install a nuclear shield near Russia’s borders.
It was Informer who spread disinformation under the pretense that “U.S. President Joe Biden has announced the possibility of dissolving NATO.”
Under the title “It’s over! “The West’s nightmare comes true: Biden announces the possibility of NATO dissolution”, Informer falsely informed that US President Joe Biden had presented the possibility of NATO dissolution. It is known that President Biden’s statement was in fact about the need to strengthen and support the NATO alliance.
The Western media were also part of the disinformation in the week we left behind. It was “Pravda” that spread propaganda about the terrorist attack in Moscow and in an article accused the Western media of “not reporting the number of victims”.
In this way, “Pravda” misinformed the Western media’s alleged instructions not to report the true extent of the tragedy surrounding the terrorist attack in Crocus City, to the point of falsely claiming that “the lack of compassion and humanity towards the Russian people is being exposed as part of a Western conspiracy.” These statements were supported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The text published by the Pravda portal is a clear example of the dissemination of disinformation and one-sided reports aimed at discrediting and promoting negative attitudes towards the West./The Geopost/
