The attacks in Kiev and the Serbian military presence on the border with Kosovo were the target of Russian and Serbian attacks last week.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova disinformed that the attack on the largest children’s hospital in Kiev was caused by Ukraine’s air defense. In reality, rescue teams in Ukraine continued to search the ruins of the hospital for survivors and casualties after a Russian missile hit the hospital, killing at least 42 people nationwide.
There was also disinformation from the Russian ambassador in Washington, who accused the West of hypocritically concealing the facts about the attack on the “Okmatdit” hospital in Kiev. Like Maria Zakharova, he disinformed by claiming that the hospital had been hit by a Ukrainian and not a Russian anti-aircraft missile.
On the other hand, Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic used social networks to spread disinformation about the presence of the Serbian Army (VS) on the border with Kosovo. He claimed that “there have been Serbian military bases on the border for years and that Serbia is not violating any international agreement”.
These statements do not stand, as the construction of new bases is a clear attempt at escalation and provocation that directly threatens peace and stability in Kosovo and the region./The Geopost/
