Analyst Dzevad Galijašević, who comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has falsely stated that the attackers in Moscow were not jihadists, aiming to reflect Russia’s narrative that blames Ukraine and the West for the terrorist attack on the concert hall in Moscow.
What did Galijašević say?
“The Moscow attackers are not Islamists. They are not an organized terrorist group, these people gathered a few days before the execution.” One can recognize the handwriting of secret services such as the CIA, Mi-6, although the Mossad should not be ruled out either. It is also possible that the Ukrainians scored on the field and signaled to the attackers that they had played their part. Hard to believe that a cab driver and a failed hairdresser can act as soldiers, kill 150 people, fire 500-600 bullets, act like soldiers and have nothing in their biographies. It’s possible that we only have part of the group and not all of the authors.”
Analysis:
Galijašević misinforms with this statement and supports the Russian narrative by pointing the finger at someone other than ISIS, which has publicly claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Moscow. Shortly after the attack, Russia pointed the finger at Ukraine without any evidence, and by blaming Ukraine, Russian officials tried to blame the West as well. The four suspects in the terrorist attack have appeared before the Russian court. Some of them have admitted that they were encouraged by representatives of the Islamic group to carry out the attack in Russia. The four suspected attackers come from Tajikistan and lived in Russia.
