Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and Russian Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya made disinformation claims about alleged violence against Serbs in Kosovo by Kosovo authorities in their speech at the Security Council meeting during their presentation at the UN Security Council meeting.
Djuric said:
“Six Serbs have been shot this year alone and no one has been held accountable.” Who shot Dragisa Galjka in the back? This question is no longer asked. Ethnically motivated attacks have increased by 50 percent since Albin Kurti took office, with 434 incidents recorded in two and a half years. Imagine if your community faced this kind of insecurity every day – would you feel safe? “Armed police broke into Serbian institutions, attacked unarmed civilians and even injured children,” said Djuric.
Nebenzya said:
They are trying to relocate non-Albanian institutions by raiding schools and hospitals.
He claimed that the Serbs in the area were allegedly “barely surviving” and that “the prime minister of the Pristina Provisional Institutions, Albin Kurti, declared war on the Serbs” and cynically called it “a war against fascism both inside and outside the country”, Serbian media report.
Analysis:
Marko Djuric, referring to the incident in which Dragisa Galjak, a Serbian protester, was injured, does not state that he was injured during a protest in Kosovo, but disinforms that Galjak’s injury was the result of systematic violence on the part of Kosovo authorities.
During these protests, in which Galjak was injured, three Hungarian soldiers were also wounded by gunfire when Serbian protesters attacked them.
Eleven soldiers from the Italian contingent and 19 from the Hungarian contingent suffered multiple injuries, including fractures and burns from improvised explosive devices..
The Russian ambassador Nebenzya disinforms that the Kosovo authorities want to close schools and hospitals that operate according to the Serbian system.
In fact, the Kosovo authorities want to integrate these institutions into the Kosovo system so that everything works according to the law.
Also, according to international missions such as EULEX and OSCE, allegations of systematic violence against Serb civilians in Kosovo by Kosovo security forces have not been confirmed.
