The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has come to the defense of the head of the criminal group, at the same time the vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoicic, who a day ago, through a video message, appeared in threatening tones towards the Serbs of Kosovo.
Asked to comment on this appearance, Vucic said that it has nothing to do with the state of Serbia.
“Where should Radoicic be, who is from Kosovo? Or would you like us to order people to withdraw from northern Kosovo to central Serbia? Where Radoicic is, in Kosovo or not, is his private matter. It has nothing to do with the state, nor did it. Do you want to expel him? Is this your goal and idea?” Vucic commented, Serbian media reports.
However, unlike the statements of the Serbian president, the person wanted by the security authority of Kosovo in March of this year had participated in the meeting of the Serbian Security Council threatening Kosovo.
During this meeting, after refusing to hold Serbian elections in Kosovo, Vucic threatened saying that “serious responses from serious people will follow, and there will be big consequences”.
We remind you that at the end of last year, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on an organized crime group operating in the north of Kosovo, headed by Zvonko Veselinović and Radoicić himself.
Besides him, there are also his brother Zharko Veselinović, then Zhelko Bojić, Milan Mihajlović, Sinisha Nedeljković, Radovan Radić, Milan Radisavlević, Milojko Radisavlević, Milan Radoicić, Marko Rosić, Radule Stevič, Milivoje Vulović.
The United States says the group has been involved in large-scale bribery schemes with Kosovo and Serbian security officials that facilitate the illegal trafficking of goods, money, narcotics and weapons between the two countries.
