This claim, experts say, ignores the impact of Western sanctions, which have significantly limited Russia's revenues from energy exports.

These narratives are often accompanied by warnings. about an imminent economic crisis in Europe, aiming to increase pressure on EU countries to ease or lift sanctions against Moscow.
