Serbian political analyst Dušan Janjić stated that the Serbian Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA) and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić are responsible for the manipulation of the 2020 presidential elections in the United States of America.
He told the Beta agency that, following US President Donald Trump's speech yesterday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, it has become clear that the investigation into the manipulation of the US presidential election is underway and that Belgrade is also involved, nova.rs reports.
"Previously, there were several warnings about the launch of investigations into the theft of the US presidential election through social networks, as well as the use of an IP address from Serbia in a campaign against Trump. This had not been confirmed so far, but after President Trump's speech yesterday in Davos, it is now clear that the investigation is underway and also includes Belgrade," Janjic said.
According to him, there is an aspect in the US that, as he put it, "politicians here - partially educated - and BIA experts have ignored."
"In the US, there is the National Security Agency, which oversees cybersecurity, especially in situations that affect American interests and democracy. If it turns out to be true – and we have no reason to suspect that Trump was fabricating – criminal prosecution of all those who participated in the manipulation of the American elections should be expected," he said.
Janjic added that he does not rule out the possibility that the manipulation was carried out by the BIA through a private agency, but closely linked to the government and the so-called concept of the "fight against the colored revolution."
He stressed that some of the people involved are already leaving the top of the BIA, but that this will not absolve them from responsibility.
"The question arises as to how far the investigation will go and whether it will also include Aleksandar Vučić, who controls everything in Serbia. This would be a very difficult situation for him, because it would show that one state has led a cybercriminal act against another state – in this case, against the US for the presidential elections. Who will be prosecuted will be decided by the US prosecutor," Janjić said.
He also commented on the claims that the Serbian company "Roaming Networks" is behind the manipulation of the US presidential election, describing these as "gruff to Vučić's mill."
According to him, the Department for Combating High-Tech Crime of the Serbian Ministry of Interior should also be included in this investigation.
"Until it is proven that the BIA does not have a team for the fight against the color revolution - and Aleksandar Vulin has stated that such a team exists - the BIA is responsible for operational participation in the manipulation of the American elections, while Aleksandar Vučić is responsible for political and criminal responsibility," Janjić stressed.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced yesterday at the World Economic Forum in Davos that he will soon launch criminal prosecutions related to what he called the "stolen elections" of 2020.
"Very soon people will be prosecuted for what they did. It was a rigged election," Trump declared.
In early December last year, Trump linked the Serbian company "Dominion Voting Systems" to the falsification of the 2020 US presidential election. He also shared a post on social media claiming that Elon Musk had prevented the manipulation of the 2024 election by disabling this company's computers in Serbia.
Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, but on election night he claimed that Democrats had stolen votes by using electronic machines and optical vote-counting equipment from the company "Dominion Voting Systems" in 28 US states.
Dominion Voting Systems is headquartered in Canada, with software development branches in the US, Canada and Serbia, and has been present in the Serbian market since 2011.
The American website "Stolen Elections Facts" has published that Dominion has opened a data center in Belgrade through the Serbian company "Roaming Networks", also known as "Dot Networks", which also operates in the United States of America.
