The international public opinion polling organization, Gallup International, has published its latest report on global perceptions of major world political figures, including the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
According to this report, Kosovo ranks among the five countries with the most positive assessment of US President Donald Trump, ranking alongside countries such as Azerbaijan, Kenya, Georgia and Syria.
The list is topped by Azerbaijan, where 40 percent of respondents express a positive opinion of Trump, followed by Kenya with 34 percent, Georgia with 32 percent, Syria with 31 percent, while Kosovo ranks fifth with a 27 percent positive assessment.
Gallup data shows that, globally, perceptions of the US president remain divided. Some 31 percent of respondents worldwide have a positive opinion of Trump, while 61 percent express an unfavourable opinion, reflecting a high degree of polarization of international public opinion towards his political figure.
Meanwhile, when it comes to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the report reveals a different picture in several countries. Serbia is the country with the highest percentage of positive evaluations of Putin, followed by India, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Malaysia.
However, even in the case of Putin, negative evaluation remains dominant on a global scale. According to Gallup, 66 percent of respondents worldwide express a negative opinion of the Russian president, while only 25 percent have a positive opinion, which reflects the impact of geopolitical developments and the war in Ukraine on the international perception of him.
The Gallup International report includes public opinion measurements in dozens of countries around the world and aims to reflect global trends in perceptions of political leaders, while also reflecting regional, political, and geopolitical differences in citizens' attitudes toward key figures in international politics.
