The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has announced that a team has traveled to Gaza to conduct reconnaissance of the area where KSF members are also expected to operate as part of the international peacekeeping mission.
According to a Facebook announcement, the Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, has sent a team for the purpose of preliminary assessment of the terrain and coordination of the deployment activities of the KSF contingent within the framework of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza.
It is reported that during the visit, the delegation held meetings with the authorities responsible for the administration of Gaza, as well as with representatives of the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC), which operates under the supervision of the Peace Board, in accordance with UN Resolution 2803.
In these meetings, the integration of the KSF contingent, the development of joint operations and the coordination of logistical support for the mission were discussed.
The KSF has reiterated its commitment to contributing to global peace and stability, in cooperation with international allies, especially the United States of America.
