The Director of the Institute for Hybrid Warfare Studies "Octopus", Arben Fetoshi, has called the resolution of American congressmen for Kosovo's membership in NATO a confirmation of the EU's paving the path of peace in the Western Balkans.
"Faced with hybrid threats from Serbia and the potential influence of Russia in the Balkans, Kosovo in NATO is the safest solution. It is the neutralization of the source of destabilization, which provokes the hegemonic goals of the 'Serbian World'. After the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the Law on the Assessment of Discrimination in the Presevo Valley (PVDAA) and the decision on the KSF in the International Stabilization Force, the resolution represents the 'road map' towards sustainable peace in the Balkans," Fetoshi wrote on Facebook.
Fetoshi assessed that, in the current geopolitical context, the US is showing the EU that uncertainty only creates ground for Putin's revisionist ambitions.
"So, Kosovo in NATO is not only a national aspiration, but also a preventive instrument that eliminates Serbia's destabilizing calculations and closes the space of Russian influence in the Balkans," he said.
