The Sputnik Serbia portal published an article on February 19 with the title: "Incident in Kosovo and Metohija: Serbian stamps and documents were seized at the Brnjak checkpoint near Zubin Potok."
The title suggested a serious security incident, but the content of the text suggests that there was no incident in terms of clashes, violence, or escalation of the situation.
According to the information in the text, during a search of a vehicle with Serbian license plates at the Brnjak border crossing, the police found a stamp and several documents in Serbian.
The items were seized by order of the prosecutor for further procedures.
The driver of the vehicle has not been arrested, while the case is described as "under investigation".

The Kosovo Police in its official announcement specified:
"SPK. Brnjak 18.02.2026 – 22:25. During the search of the vehicle with Serbian license plates, driven by the Kosovar male suspect, the following were found: a stamp with Serbian writing, several other documents in Serbian, a request from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two Serbian contracts, etc.
"By order of the prosecutor, the seals and documents have been confiscated, the case is under investigation."
The report does not mention any incidents or security problems.
The headline published by Sputnik Serbia also has a "clickbait" tendency, as it dramatizes a routine police action and suggests a more serious event than what emerges from the content of the article itself.
