“The Geopost” today (Thursday) will host the “Balkan Summit on Disinformation”. Experts in this field from different countries of the world will be part of the panels, to discuss disinformation, the war in Ukraine, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the media, China's influence in the Middle East, etc.
As part of this summit, the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, will speak to the attendees about Kosovo's strategic communication.
Meanwhile, in the first panel on disinformation in Europe, the following will speak: Jashna Jelisie, Jakub Kalensky, Jana Kazas, Vladimir Sazonov and Dietmar Pichler.
Ukrainian journalists Lydmila Makey, Tatyana Synelnyk, and Ukrainian historian Vladislav Havrylov will speak about Russian military aggression in the war in Ukraine.
And from America, Jason Steinhauer will speak about disinformation on social media.
Special attention at this summit will also be paid to disinformation in the Balkans and Russian influence, topics that will be discussed by panelists: Milan Jovanovic from Montenegro, Boris Varga from Serbia, Rosana Aleksoska from North Macedonia, Gerta Zaimi from Albania. Ljubomir Filipovic from Montenegro and Darko Brkan from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Disinformation in the Middle East and Chinese influence is also the focus of the Balkan Summit on Disinformation, which will be addressed by: Ruslan Trad from Bulgaria, Nicos Panagiotou from Greece, Ana Krstinovska from North Macedonia, and Gil Hoffman from Israel.
Also, within the framework of the Summit on Disinformation in the Balkans, American professors Janet Johnson and Michael Beam will also speak.
The "Balkan Summit on Disinformation" starts at 9:30 and is held at the Swiss Diamond Hotel, in Pristina.
