Alen Musaefendić is the Head of the Task Force for the Western Balkans within the Strategic Communication Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels. His role involves addressing a wide range of complex issues related to the implementation of the EU’s enlargement policy and the Stabilisation and Association Process. A key aspect of his work is the fight against foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), including disinformation.
In addition to his role at the EEAS, he is affiliated with the Swedish Psychological Safety Agency. Alen has a diverse professional background, having worked as an economist, journalist and policy expert. He holds two Master's degrees: one in International Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and another in International Management from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS).
