Benjamin Shultz is a researcher at the American Sunlight Project and serves as an artificial intelligence expert for the Council of Europe. He previously worked as a principal analyst in Deloitte’s Countering Malign Influence Team and served as a delegate to the 2023 NATO Youth Summit.
Benjamin is an expert on foreign information manipulation and influence (FIMI) issues and his research focuses on two main areas: 1) the Kremlin's efforts to undermine democracy in the US and Europe through disinformation campaigns; and 2) the use of online games and virtual reality platforms as recruitment channels by organized crime groups.
