Dr. Janet Johnson is an assistant professor of teaching in the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas.
She brings over 20 years of experience in media and strategic communications. Her research passion is media in the political process, particularly how social media is changing political rhetoric. Through her research, she seeks to provide digital citizens, academics, and industry practitioners with a deeper understanding of how effective and powerful new media are for our culture of political and media discourse. She has been invited twice to the White House and the State Department to be part of social media events.
