Balkan Disinformation Summit 2024, Jakub Kalenský, Deputy Director of COI Hybrid Influence

Jakub Kalenský is Deputy Director of the Center's Hybrid Impact COI, which focuses on protecting democratic processes.

Jakub has specialized in Russian disinformation and hybrid activities since 2015 when he joined the newly created East StratCom Task Force in the European Union’s diplomatic service, the EEAS. On the team, Jakub was responsible for raising awareness about Russia’s disinformation campaigns, and he and his colleagues founded the EUvsDisinfo campaign. In 2018, Jakub joined the Atlantic Council, where he worked on the Ukraine Election Task Force and the Digital Forensics Research Lab. He testified before the European Parliament, the US Congress, and other legislative chambers in Europe about Russian disinformation attacks and countermeasures.
